According to Threlfall’s GMC50451, “JOHN JACKAMAN of Mendlesham, Suffolk, England, was probably born about 1510-1515. He married Katherine _____, probably about 1538. He was buried in Mendlesham on 12 January 1566/7. In his brief will he named only his wife and son John. However, there is no reason to doubt that there were other children, that is, Ambrose and Margaret, who appear in the parish records of Mendlesham.
