According to Savage,798 Thomas Thayer of “Braintree, shoemaker, perhaps elder br. of Richard the first, brot. from Eng. perhaps as late as 1645, w. Margery, and three prolific s. Thomas, Ferdinando, and Shadrach, or Sydrach, as in his will of 21 June 1644, he calls him; was freem. 1647, when it is writ. Tayer; d. 2 June 1665, well advanc. in yrs; and his will was pro. 13 Sept. foll. His wid. d. 11 Feb 1673.”
