Both questions arise from reading Mayr. 1) My understanding was that Mayr said there is no method in Cladistics for going from phylogenetic reconstruction to classification. Comments? 2) My understanding is that a major purpose of cladistics is to determine -branch points.- What EXACTLY is a branch point?
