Frank Sullaway's book, BIOLOGIST OF THE MIND treats the biological/natural history origins of freud's work at length. And, Bruce Mazlish has written a few pieces on the connections between Marx, Darwin and Freud (he has taught a class by the same title for a number of years. Eric Kupferberg Dibner Inst./MIT
