Misc. Notes
According to Banks
211, Robert Reynolds of Boston, Massachusetts, was probably from Boxford, Suffolk co., England. Has born about 1580 (fide “Gen. of Robert Reynolds, 7”). He was a member of the Winthrop Fleet (first mentioned in 1632 however), and came to New England with his wife Mary and four children: Nathaniel, Ruth, Tabitha, and Sarah. Robert was admitted to the church in 1634, and made a freeman 3 Sep 1634 (M.C.R., I, 369). According to Lemuel Shattuck
208, Robert Reynolds’ will, dated 20 Apr 1658, “mentions his dau. Ruth Whitney, his dau. Sarah Mason, and his son Robert.” Perhaps this “son Robert” was a son-in-law, or was simply not recorded by Banks.
