Rupp gives his birthdate as 19 Oct 1772 and his birthplace as Barre, Massachusetts.688

The children Martha, Rosella, and Alanda are not listed by Rupp, who says the seven children she does record were “all b. in Sterling, Mass.”688 The published vital records of Sterling list the first two children, Samuel Henry and Mary Foster, but not the others.543
