One of the founders of Concord; later removed to Lancaster and then Groton. His second and third wives, Elizabeth and Mary Dunster, were sisters of Henry Dunster, President of Harvard College (Mary may have been Henry Dunster’s niece instead; see Savage). Simon Willard’s son was the long-time minister of Groton, and is said (in a bulletin board message) to have baptized Benjamin Franklin.
