Richard Tuttle (or Tootill) was probably the son of Thomas Totehyll, born about 1506 at Woodford, Northamptonshire. Thomas was taxed in Woodford 10 Nov 1554, witnessed wills between 1524-52, and resided in Holcot and Woodford in Northamptonshire.793

Richard Tuttle “was supervisor of the will of Richard Beare of Woodford, 03 Nov 1579 and a witness to the will of Elizabeth Lyncoln, 1556.” Executors of Richard’s own will were his wife Elizabeth and son Anthony.793
