According to Threlfall’s GMC50,770 John Barker “of Nayland, Suffolk, England, was born about 1540. On 26 May 1562 at Nayland, he and Margaret Maull of Nayland were married. He was a cloth maker. On 22 October 1588, John Barker the elder, ‘a householder’, was buried at Nayland. Margaret Barker, ‘widow’, was buried 11 January 1589/90 at Nayland.
