Darwin-L Message Logs, 1993–1997

Academic Discussion on the History and Theory of the Historical Sciences

During its several years of operation, the Darwin-L discussion group supported a consistently high level of scholarly conversation across the entire range of the palaetiological sciences, including evolutionary biology, historical linguistics, geology, systematics, paleontology, archeology, textual transmission, genealogy, cosmology, and related fields that reconstruct the past from evidence in the present. All messages posted to Darwin-L were logged automatically by the listserv software. The list owner edited these logs, removing extraneous headers and deleting occasional error messages, and the resulting files are archived here. The number of messages posted to Darwin-L varied from month to month, of course, so some of these monthly logs are very large, while others are relatively small.
